Artist Statement
There is no end to the bright starry sky. A beautiful flower bloomed in the sky, its petals bright and full, which is the most vigorous vitality in the universe. The heart of the flower is so deep that it becomes a Milky Way running into the sea, which breeds and nourishes all life. This flower is holy and incomparable, blooming forever. Her name is The Source of Life

Wang Ge “Pearl” was born in 1969 in Langfang, a small city near Beijing China. Her father Wang Zai, was a published artist and a well-known loca calligrapher. Influenced by her father at an early age, Wang Ge learned to draw and to appreciate the traditional Chinese culture. In 2007, Wang Ge was introduced to an ancient “Cloisonne” style of painting. With vision an innovation, she quickly mastered the art and then created her own patent using sand based paint. Her subject matter consists of traditional Chinese scenes with native flowers,fish and birds. However, since moving to Hawaii in August of 2017 to live with her husband, Ed Torrison, she has also embraced the unique and colorful flora, fauna and marine life of Hawaii. With so much beauty around, she has a wealth of inspiration.
